Gonzaga Dominates Pepperdine in Final WCC Showdown
22 Jan
Summary
- Gonzaga seeks 51st straight win over Pepperdine.
- Injuries may impact Gonzaga's star player availability.
- Pepperdine is last in WCC with a 1-6 record.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs are preparing to host the Pepperdine Waves on Wednesday, January 21st, marking the final regular-season conference game between the two teams. Gonzaga has an overwhelming historical advantage, having won 50 consecutive games against Pepperdine since 2002, including a dominant 96-56 victory on December 28th.
Since their last encounter, Pepperdine has struggled, losing five of six games and currently holding last place in the WCC with a 1-6 record. Despite recent injuries, including to forward Braden Huff and star candidate Graham Ike, Gonzaga is expected to continue its winning streak.
The primary question for Gonzaga is whether coach Mark Few will risk playing Ike, who is dealing with ankle soreness, or save him for a more critical game on Saturday. Regardless of Ike's status, sophomore center Ismaila Diagne is expected to play a significant role against Pepperdine's undersized frontcourt.
