Corporate Cricket Goes Global: World Cup Announced

The Corporate World Cup (CWC), envisioned as the premier global corporate cricket championship, was officially launched in Gurugram. This groundbreaking tournament aims to unite the corporate cricket community through a structured competition.
Organized by Pro Corporate League (PCL), which boasts a 15-year legacy in corporate cricket, the CWC will span 24 cities. A total of 192 corporate teams will participate, with eight teams representing each city.
Following city-level qualifiers, the top two teams from every city will advance to the grand Corporate World Cup, scheduled for July 2027. The competition will test players across 11-overs-a-side, T20, and 40-over formats.
Sanath Jayasuriya, Global Ambassador for the CWC, expressed excitement about the platform's ability to foster teamwork and leadership through cricket. Founder Sachin Gupta highlighted the event's scale, involving 864 matches, and its goal of creating a competitive pathway from local to global stages.
