Glitter and Glow Eyes Stakes Debut Triumph
6 Aug
Summary
- Glitter and Glow makes stakes debut in the Bison City Stakes.
- The filly broke her maiden impressively on July 4th.
- Trainer Rachel Halden opted for this race over the Woodbine Oaks.

Glitter and Glow is poised to make a significant impact as she enters the stakes ranks in Saturday's $250,000 Bison City Stakes at Woodbine. This event serves as the middle leg of the Triple Tiara for Canadian-foaled 3-year-old fillies, following the Woodbine Oaks.
Under the training of Rachel Halden, Glitter and Glow achieved a remarkable maiden-breaking victory on July 4th over 1 1/8 miles. Despite being a long shot in her previous race, the chestnut filly demonstrated considerable talent, leading from early on and pulling away for a commanding four-length win.
Halden explained that the filly developed later in the season, making her late entry onto the Oaks trail. Choosing to prioritize the filly's development, they opted for the Bison City Stakes over the earlier Oaks race. Recent workouts indicate Glitter and Glow is in excellent condition for her stakes debut.
