Giants Cut Kicker Koo After Missed Field Goals
17 Dec
Summary
- Younghoe Koo was waived by the Giants after missing two field goals.
- The team claimed linebacker Caleb Murphy from the Patriots.
- Evan Neal was designated to return from injury.

The New York Giants have released kicker Younghoe Koo from their roster. Koo's tenure with the team concluded after he missed both of his field goal attempts during a recent game against the Washington Commanders. His struggles also included a missed attempt against the New England Patriots in Week 13.
In a corresponding move, the Giants have claimed linebacker Caleb Murphy off waivers from the Patriots, filling the vacant spot on the roster. Murphy, an undrafted free agent, has played sparingly in recent seasons, primarily contributing on special teams for the Patriots and previously the Chargers.
Additionally, the Giants are looking ahead to potential reinforcements. Offensive lineman Evan Neal, a former first-round pick sidelined by a hamstring injury this season, has been designated to return, with a 21-day practice window now open. The team also brought back cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse to the practice squad.
