Gavaskar: Vaibhav Suryavanshi Ready for International Cricket

Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has emerged as a sensational talent during the IPL 2026 season, leading the charts with 680 runs and a remarkable strike rate of 242.82. His consistent and fearless performances against experienced international players have led cricket icon Sunil Gavaskar to declare him ready for T20 cricket.

Gavaskar strongly advocates for Suryavanshi's inclusion in the T20 squad for the upcoming tour of England and Ireland in June-July. The young batsman has also been named in the India 'A' squad for a tri-series. Gavaskar emphasized that Suryavanshi's age should not be a barrier given his current form and ability to hit established bowlers with ease.
