Lagway, a native of Willis, Texas, about an hour's drive from Texas A&M's campus, finished the game 21 of 37 for 229 yards and 2 touchdowns. However, he also lost a fumble on a strip sack, and the Gators' offensive line struggled to handle the Aggies' front, giving up three sacks and five quarterback hurries.
On the defensive side, Florida was unable to generate much pressure on Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed, who passed for 234 yards and 1 touchdown while also rushing for 37 yards and 1 score. The Gators' defense did manage to recover after a shaky start, surrendering just 186 yards and 13 points in the final three quarters.
Despite the loss, the Gators will look to regroup and build on the momentum of their upset victory over Texas as they continue their SEC schedule.
