On Friday, the FIA's International Court of Appeal rejected Alpine's appeal, reinstating the penalties and Gasly's demotion. The court cited insufficient proof that Gasly did not exceed the speed limit and noted that other teams had adhered to their calibrated limiters. The FIA and Alpine will split the costs of the appeal process.
Alpine expressed disappointment with the outcome, maintaining their belief that Gasly was unfairly punished. Despite this setback, the team stated its focus remains on improving performance throughout the competitive championship season.
