Paddy Pimblett Calls Dana White-Eddie Hearn Feud 'Childish'
14 Oct
Summary
- UFC's Paddy Pimblett finds the public beef between Dana White and Eddie Hearn childish.
- Pimblett believes Anthony Joshua would defeat Tyson Fury in their upcoming fight.
- The feud between White and Hearn is overshadowing the highly anticipated Fury-Joshua bout.
The public dispute between UFC President Dana White and Matchroom Boxing boss Eddie Hearn has become a notable, if unwelcome, sideshow to the long-awaited Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight. While some fans found amusement in their verbal sparring, it has arguably detracted from the promotion of the Dec. 11 bout.
Pimblett, a UFC fighter, dismissed the notion of White and Hearn ever fighting as 'the stupidest thing' he has ever heard. He finds their ongoing public exchanges to be 'very childish' and anticipates the back-and-forth will continue for the next two months.
Turning his attention to the boxing match, Pimblett expressed a shift in his prediction. While he would have favored Tyson Fury years ago, he now believes Anthony Joshua will win. Pimblett pointed to Fury's past retirements and inconsistent recent performances as factors making him doubt Fury's current form.
