3 Feb
Summary
- Fundora vs. Thurman fight moved to March 28 in Las Vegas.
- Original October fight postponed due to Fundora's hand injury.
- Thurman seeks second junior middleweight title after previous injury.

The WBC junior middleweight title defense between champion Sebastian Fundora and challenger Keith Thurman has been rescheduled to March 28. The highly anticipated bout will now take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This event is set to be the main attraction on the 'PBC on Prime' pay-per-view broadcast.
The fight was originally slated for October 25 but had to be postponed when Fundora suffered a hand injury during his training camp, forcing him out of the contest. It was initially expected to be rescheduled for January.
Fundora, holding a record of 23 wins with 15 knockouts, secured his title with impressive knockout victories in 2025. A win against Thurman would mark the most significant addition to his championship résumé.
Thurman, with a record of 36 wins and 23 knockouts, is aiming to capture a junior middleweight title for the second time. He was previously scheduled to face Tim Tszyu for the WBC title in March 2024 but withdrew due to an injury, with Fundora stepping in to win the championship. Thurman, aged 37, has had limited activity, fighting only once since 2022.
