10 Feb
Summary
- MiLaysia Fulwiley transferred from South Carolina to LSU last April.
- The Gamecocks and Tigers are set to face off on February 14th.
- Fulwiley played LSU three times previously while at South Carolina.

No. 3 South Carolina is scheduled to face No. 6 LSU on February 14th, marking a highly anticipated reunion with former Gamecock guard MiLaysia Fulwiley. Fulwiley transferred to LSU last April, seeking an opportunity to develop as a point guard and experience a change of scenery. She grew up just 15 minutes from South Carolina's arena.
During her time at South Carolina, Fulwiley played LSU three times. As a freshman in 2024, she was named tournament MVP after scoring 24 points against the Tigers. In January 2025, she contributed eight points in a 66-56 victory over LSU. She averaged over 11 points per game in both her freshman and sophomore seasons, coming off the bench for the Gamecocks' championship and runner-up teams.
LSU coach Kim Mulkey stated she doesn't anticipate Fulwiley feeling excessive pressure returning to face her former team. Mulkey noted that Fulwiley has expressed no animosity towards South Carolina and simply desired a fresh start. Fulwiley is currently averaging 13.4 points per game off the bench for LSU this season.
