Frostburg State University has officially named Rubin Stevenson as its permanent athletic director, removing the interim tag. Stevenson first joined the FSU athletic department in 1992 and has since held various significant roles, including head football coach from 2000 to 2007, leading the Bobcats to two conference championships. His extensive experience also includes serving as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations.
Stevenson's appointment follows his interim service beginning in July, after the resignation of Troy Dell.
