This weekend's Italian Grand Prix at Monza will feature a special tribute from Ferrari to Michael Schumacher, celebrating 30 years since his debut season with the team. Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will compete in cars adorned with a distinct livery reminiscent of Schumacher's 1996 F310. The design incorporates predominantly red with white and black accents, and gold-highlighted wheels, echoing the original aesthetic.
Further honoring the seven-time world champion, the cars will display a special logo derived from Schumacher's personal insignia and a graphic inspired by his helmet design. Special racing attire, including helmets, will also be worn by Hamilton and Leclerc. The event will further feature Rubens Barrichello, Schumacher's former teammate, driving the F2002 car on Saturday.
Adding to the homage, former Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel, who deeply admired Schumacher, will also take the F2002 for a lap on Sunday. Michael Schumacher has remained out of the public eye since suffering severe injuries in a 2013 skiing accident, with his family diligently safeguarding his privacy and medical information.
