AFC Fines FC Goa After Fan Rushes Field
24 Dec
Summary
- FC Goa fined $5,000 for spectator running onto field during ACL2 match.
- Fan hugged Al-Nassr player Joao Felix and took a selfie during the game.
- Al-Nassr also fined $10,000 for unauthorized personnel in restricted areas.

The Asian Football Confederation's disciplinary committee has levied a $5,000 fine against FC Goa. This action stems from a spectator's breach of security during an AFC Champions League Two match against Al-Nassr in October. The fan, identified as being from Kerala, entered the field of play and approached Al-Nassr player Joao Felix.
The pitch invader proceeded to hug the Portugal international and then obtained a selfie with him, an act that highlighted a failure in stadium safety protocols. FC Goa was found to be in violation of AFC's safety rules and regulations, specifically failing to ensure law and order within the stadium premises.
In a related incident, Al-Nassr was also fined $10,000 for multiple individuals affiliated with the club entering controlled access areas without necessary accreditation. This marks Al-Nassr's second infringement of AFC Champions League Two competition regulations, adding to their previous violations.
