FC Barcelona experienced a surprising 90-80 loss to Hiopos Lleida in the Liga Endesa Regular Season. This occurred on Sunday, with the team now needing to pivot its attention to crucial EuroLeague action.
Catalonia's Hiopos Lleida secured the victory at Pavello Barris Nord, notably fueled by Oriol Pauli's career-best 27 points against his former club. Barcelona's immediate challenge is the EuroLeague Play-In Showdown against Crvena Zvezda, scheduled for this Tuesday at Palau Blaugrana.
Coach Xavi Pascual's squad must overcome the domestic disappointment and the absence of injured Nicolas Laprovittola. Their aim is to secure the eighth seed and advance to a potential best-of-five series against top-seeded Olympiacos, with a further goal of reaching the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four in Athens.
