Marseille Secures Arsenal Talent Nwaneri on Loan
20 Jan
Summary
- Ethan Nwaneri, 18, joins Marseille on loan from Arsenal.
- The loan deal for the England U21 international runs until end of season.
- Nwaneri will provide competition and cover for Mason Greenwood on the right wing.
Olympique de Marseille has successfully secured Ethan Nwaneri on a loan deal from Arsenal for the remainder of the 2025-2026 campaign. The 18-year-old English U21 international's temporary switch to the Ligue 1 side does not include an option to buy.
Nwaneri's move comes as his playing time at Arsenal has diminished following recent signings and the return of Bukayo Saka to full fitness. He is expected to arrive in Southern France tomorrow and could potentially debut this Saturday.
At Marseille, Nwaneri is anticipated to compete for and cover the right wing position, supporting star player Mason Greenwood. The Phocéens are preparing for a Champions League clash on Wednesday before their potential debut for Nwaneri.
