ESPN personality Elle Duncan is reportedly on the verge of joining Netflix as the leading on-air talent for its sports division. This move signifies a major escalation in Netflix's ambition to expand its live sports offerings, bringing in a high-profile, full-time personality.
Although Duncan's contract with Netflix is still being finalized, sources suggest it will allow for some appearances on other networks, with Netflix taking precedence. There's also a possibility of non-sports related roles with the streaming giant, indicating a versatile role for the anchor.
This development comes as Netflix continues to invest in sports, having previously shown interest in other ESPN personalities. While Duncan has a significant history with ESPN, hosting major events like the Women's Final Four and WNBA Finals, her new role at Netflix suggests a potential shift away from her current commitments.
