Everton Star's Friends 'Attacked' at Emirates Stadium

Police are investigating an alleged attack on friends of Everton forward Thierno Barry during a recent match at the Emirates Stadium. Barry, who came on as a substitute, posted on Instagram that his guests were targeted, leading to their escort by stadium security and police.

He emphasized that football should be a safe and respectful environment, condemning the behavior seen during the game. Video evidence of a fan altercation within the stadium has surfaced online.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are aware of the incident. While the exact cause is not yet determined, some Everton supporters online suggested that Barry's friends cheered Arsenal's goals despite being in the away section.

Merseyside Police are working with their Metropolitan counterparts to thoroughly investigate the matter. As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made concerning the disturbance.
