Pitt-Johnstown junior outside hitter Ellie Zuro Cirino has achieved significant national recognition, earning a 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association honorable mention selection. This award highlights her exceptional performance throughout the season.
Zuro Cirino's statistical dominance was evident as she led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in kills per set with 4.1 and amassed a conference-leading 451 total kills. She also ranked highly in points per set, securing second place with 4.6. Nationally, her achievements placed her among the top players, ranking 17th in total kills, 18th in kills per set, and 21st in points per set.
Prior to this national honor, Zuro Cirino was celebrated with multiple accolades, including first-team selections for all-PSAC West, D2CCA, and AVCA all-Atlantic Region. Her remarkable contributions were instrumental in guiding Pitt-Johnstown to its seventh NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament appearance, marking their third consecutive participation in the event. She also provided valuable support in digs, service aces, and blocks.
