A post-race confrontation at Southern National Motorsports Park between CARS Tour drivers Carson Kvapil and Doug Barnes Jr. was defused by Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s nieces, Karsyn and Kennedy. The altercation followed an on-track incident where Kvapil made contact with Barnes Jr. on a restart, resulting in Barnes Jr. crashing into the wall.
Barnes Jr. approached Kvapil, who was still in his car, appearing ready for a physical fight. Karsyn and Kennedy Earnhardt reportedly intervened, pulling Barnes Jr. away and preventing any injuries. Video of the incident quickly circulated online, drawing significant attention to the nieces' quick actions.
Kvapil, who started 29th, had taken the lead on lap 108. He later issued an apology, explaining the contact resulted from a racing incident where he slipped and made contact with Barnes Jr.'s door. This was Kvapil's second race of the day, having also competed in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series at Circuit of The Americas.
