Summary
- Commanders host Eagles on Sunday Night Football after bye week.
- Eagles starting Tanner McKee as Jalen Hurts is sidelined.
- Daron Payne's foot injury impacts Commanders' defensive line.
The Washington Commanders are set to host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football, November 1st, 2026, at Northwest Stadium. This game marks the Commanders' return home after a bye week. However, the team is contending with a significant injury to defensive lineman Daron Payne, who sprained his foot during a practice.
The Eagles are experiencing a difficult season, compounded by the season-ending blood clot diagnosis for their starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts. Consequently, Tanner McKee will be under center for Philadelphia. The Commanders, seeking to improve their standing, are currently 5.5-point home favorites.
Despite Washington's own injury concerns, including Javon Kinlaw being out and the potential activation of Jer'Zhan Newton from injured reserve, they aim to capitalize on the Eagles' quarterback instability. This matchup presents an opportunity for Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels to secure a significant win.
