Eagles Sign DE Epenesa After Browns Physical Fails
11 Jun
Summary
- Epenesa signed with Browns but failed physical before joining Eagles.
- Jordan joins deep offensive line with guard position needs.
- Eagles waived linebackers to make room for new signings.

The Philadelphia Eagles have bolstered their roster by signing defensive lineman AJ Epenesa and offensive guard Michael Jordan to one-year deals. Epenesa, originally a second-round selection by the Buffalo Bills in 2020, had previously agreed to join the Cleveland Browns in March. However, he did not pass his physical with the Browns and has now landed in Philadelphia.
Epenesa, who has recorded 24 sacks over six seasons as an inside-out pass rusher for the Bills, aims to make the Eagles' 53-man roster. He averaged 405 defensive snaps annually during his tenure in Buffalo. Meanwhile, Michael Jordan joins the Eagles' offensive line following a successful tryout earlier in the spring. He has appeared in 78 games with 49 starts for multiple teams since entering the league in 2019.
To make space for Epenesa and Jordan, the Eagles have waived linebackers Chandler Martin and Isiah King. Jordan's addition provides depth to an offensive line unit that has a vacancy at the guard position behind the starters.
