Mooney, who is 28 years old, had a notable season in 2024, recording 64 catches for 992 yards and five touchdowns. He also achieved a 1,000-yard season in 2021 with the Chicago Bears.
The acquisition of Mooney would have provided the Eagles with a strong No. 3 receiver option, potentially even a No. 2 if A.J. Brown were traded, though Brown has not been moved. Nevertheless, the Eagles are still expected to seek further additions to their receiving corps.
