Duke's New Guard Competes for Canada Basketball

Jacob Theodosiou, a new commit to Duke basketball under coach Jon Scheyer, is participating in the FIBA U23 3x3 Nations League 2026 - Americas North in Ñuñoa, Chile. The tournament runs from Saturday through July 3. Theodosiou, originally from Waterloo, Ontario, joined the Duke campus for summer workouts prior to this international competition.

The 6-foot-4 guard previously played for the Loyola Greyhounds, where he averaged 13.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 steals over two seasons. He began his college career with the Wyoming Cowboys. Although Theodosiou is not expected to be a primary player for the highly-touted 2026-27 Duke team, his seasoned abilities are anticipated to significantly benefit practice sessions and bolster the team's perimeter depth.
