Peace Brand, the son of former Duke star and NBA No. 1 pick Elton Brand, is generating buzz in the 2028 basketball recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-7 power forward from Westtown School in Pennsylvania recently made his debut in national rankings, landing at No. 186 overall and No. 29 among power forwards. He is also ranked No. 9 in Pennsylvania for his class.
Brand's stock has been rising due to his performances this spring and summer, showcasing his skills both inside and outside the paint, as well as his defensive reach. Despite currently holding a three-star rating, he is on the cusp of achieving a four-star ranking. Duke's head coach, Jon Scheyer, and his staff have taken notice, though they typically offer scholarships to higher-ranked players. They have also extended offers to two other top 2028 recruits: Colton Hiller and Yann Kamagate.
Experts have highlighted Brand's developing game, noting his touch around the basket, improved defensive play using his length, and increasing offensive aggression. He was a Co-MVP at the Pangos All East Frosh/Soph Camp. While still under the national radar for some, his talent is evident to those who have seen him compete.
