Dubois' Team Vows No Pre-Fight Parties
7 May
Summary
- Don Charles assures no pre-fight gathering for Daniel Dubois.
- A similar gathering occurred before Dubois' Joshua fight.
- Dubois lost his IBF title after the Usyk fight gathering.

Trainer Don Charles has issued a firm promise that Daniel Dubois' team will not host any pre-fight gatherings before his upcoming bout against WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley. This assurance follows an 'internal inquest' by Dubois' team after reports of a gathering at his house prior to his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
Dubois was stopped in the fifth round during the bout with Usyk, losing his IBF title. Notably, a similar gathering was also held before Dubois' victory over Anthony Joshua in September 2024. Charles acknowledged that while the previous pre-fight gathering was replicated before the Usyk fight, it proved unsuccessful, and vowed no such event would occur again.
