Disgruntled St George Illawarra Dragons supporters are set to confront club management on Tuesday, June 2, in a sold-out event where they will seek answers for the team's disappointing start to the 2026 season. Approximately 120 members will attend the forum to question CEO Tim Watsford, COO Ben Creagh, and interim coach Dean Young.
An email circulated to members stated the event, held at the Bruce Gordon Centre in Fairy Meadow, is not suitable for children and cannot be streamed online. CEO Tim Watsford acknowledged that recruitment criticisms will likely be raised, stating his priority is to fix the issues fans are concerned about. He anticipates a fiery reception due to the club's lack of recent success.
In separate rugby league news, former NRL centre Konrad Hurrell has announced his retirement. The 12-time Tonga international played 71 matches for the New Zealand Warriors and 45 for the Gold Coast Titans, scoring 56 tries. He most recently played for FC Lezignan in France and had stints in the Super League.
