Dortmund Survives Copenhagen Scare with Late Comeback

Last month, on October 4th, 2025, Borussia Dortmund faced off against Copenhagen in a Champions League match. The German team emerged victorious, winning 4-2, but the game was not without its share of drama.
In the first half, Dortmund was leading 1-0 when Copenhagen was handed an unexpected equalizer. A shot by Copenhagen's Youssoufa Moukoko was saved by Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, but the ball stayed near the six-yard box. Dortmund's Ramy Bensebaini then attempted to clear the ball, but it ricocheted off teammate Waldemar Anton's shin and went into the net, resulting in a bizarre own-goal for Dortmund in the 33rd minute.
Bensebaini, however, redeemed himself by converting a penalty kick in the 61st minute to give Dortmund the lead once again. Dortmund's Felix Nmecha then scored in the 20th and 76th minutes, and Fábio Silva sealed the victory for the visitors in the 87th minute. Copenhagen's Viktor Dadason scored a late goal in the 90th minute, but it was not enough to prevent Dortmund's hard-fought win.
