Summary
- Borussia Dortmund has contacted Barcelona about Hector Fort.
- Dortmund is the best-positioned club for the defender.
- Barcelona seeks €15-€20 million for Hector Fort.
Borussia Dortmund has emerged as the frontrunner to sign Barcelona's promising defender, Hector Fort. The Bundesliga club has actively engaged with Barcelona to understand the terms for a potential summer transfer. Fort's return to Barcelona after a loan spell at Elche aimed to secure a first-team spot, but the competitive right-back position has made this difficult.
Barcelona appears inclined towards a permanent sale, with reports suggesting a fee between €15 million and €20 million. The Catalan club may also negotiate to retain a percentage of Fort's future transfer rights. While a move to the Premier League appeals to the player, Dortmund's current interest is the most concrete.
A deal could be considered for around €10 million if Barcelona retains 50% of Fort's rights. The finalization of this transfer hinges on Dortmund's willingness to meet Barcelona's financial conditions and clauses regarding future sales.
