13 Mar
Summary
- Julian Brandt will leave Dortmund when his contract expires this summer.
- Niklas Süle and Salih Özcan are also departing at the end of June.
- Injuries and inconsistent form hampered Süle's time at the club.

Borussia Dortmund is set to lose several players as their contracts expire at the end of June. Julian Brandt's departure was confirmed by Lars Ricken, managing director of sport, following the team's recent victory.
Ricken further announced that defender Niklas Süle and midfielder Salih Özcan will also be leaving the club. Both players arrived in the summer of 2022 with significant expectations to contribute to Dortmund's success.
However, their tenures were marked by challenges. Özcan struggled for regular first-team involvement and was subsequently loaned to Wolfsburg. Süle, a high-earning transfer from Bayern Munich, was intended to anchor the defense but was hampered by persistent injuries leading to inconsistent play.
