Joe McDonnell is set to make his first league start for the Dons in over six and a half years, stepping in for the injured Nathan Bishop. McDonnell had previously played against Northampton in the EFL Trophy quarter-final on February 10th, a match his side lost 2-1.
In preparation for the upcoming match, Kevin Nolan has made a single alteration to the Cobblers' lineup. Cameron McGeehan will captain the side, taking over from Sam Hoskins, who has been moved to the bench. Only two players from Wednesday's EFL Trophy semi-final against Luton Town are expected to feature in the starting eleven.
