The Toronto Blue Jays' gut-wrenching Game 7 loss in the 2025 World Series was already a tough pill to swallow for the team's famous fan, Drake. But the hits just kept coming for the rapper as the Los Angeles Dodgers piled on the misery during their championship parade on Monday.
Dodgers outfielder Kiké Hernández took the opportunity to have some fun at Drake's expense, taking playful jabs at the rapper while addressing the Dodger Stadium crowd. Hernández referenced Drake's clothing line "October's Very Own" and even made a witty nod to lyrics from the rapper's 2015 hit "Big Rings" with the Dodgers' superstar Future.
The Dodgers' World Series victory marked their third title since 2020, making them the first franchise to go back-to-back since the New York Yankees in 1999 and 2000. Despite Drake's presence at a couple of the World Series games in Toronto, the Dodgers ultimately prevailed, crushing the Blue Jays' dreams of capturing their first championship since 1993.
The Dodgers didn't stop there, pouring salt in the wound by referencing lyrics from Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" anthem in a team photo after clinching the title on Saturday night. The message was clear: the Dodgers were not to be messed with, and they had firmly established their dominance over Drake and the Blue Jays.
