Dodgers pitcher Evan Phillips has officially returned to the team, activated off the 60-day injured list on Monday. This marks his comeback thirteen months and two days after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow on June 4, 2025. His surgery ended a season that was already impacted by a shoulder injury, limiting him to only seven games in 2025.
Phillips underwent an extensive rehabilitation process, pitching in 12 games over 30 days for Triple-A Oklahoma City. During his rehab, he recorded a 1.80 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 10 innings. Roster moves were made to accommodate his return: Jake Eder was released, and Paul Gervase was optioned to Triple-A. Additionally, pitcher Carlos Durán was added to the 40-man roster, while catcher Chuckie Robinson was designated for assignment.
Durán, originally a Dodgers prospect, was reacquired in December 2025. He has a 3.86 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 35 innings for Oklahoma City this season and will remain with the team on the 40-man roster. Robinson had a brief stint with the Dodgers, recording two hits in 23 at-bats.
