- He was serving a two-game suspension for fan interaction.
- Metcalf expressed happiness for his teammates' victory.
Wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, who was absent due to a two-game suspension, expressed his desire to celebrate with his teammates after their decisive victory. Despite attempting to drive to the stadium, he became ensnared in postgame traffic, preventing him from joining the on-field festivities.
Metcalf's suspension stemmed from an altercation with a fan in Week 16. He revealed that his appeal against the suspension was unsuccessful, though he found the outcome surprising. He described watching the intense game as a 'rollercoaster' but was ultimately pleased his team secured the win.
While his absence was felt, particularly in a prior loss, the team managed to secure a crucial win without him. Metcalf is set to return for the upcoming wild-card round matchup against the Texans.
