Dover senior Patrick Knaub achieved his maiden District 3 golf championship, carding an even par score of 72 in both rounds. His remarkable comeback, especially on the back nine of the final round, secured him the title and a tie for the best combined score across all divisions. Freshman Bryn Krosse also claimed her first District 3 title in the Class 3A girls' division, matching Knaub's overall low score with a 144. Krosse demonstrated significant improvement, shooting a 70 in her second round after an opening 74.
Isabelle Studli of Fairfield earned her long-awaited District 3 gold medal in the Class 2A girls' tournament. After finishing second for the past two years, the junior's determined play resulted in a 5-over 149, giving her an 11-stroke victory. Studli's success, alongside Knaub and Krosse, highlights a strong showing for local high school golfers at the championships held at Honey Run Golf Club. All three golfers have qualified for the upcoming PIAA tournament.
