Kuijt's Feyenoord Dream: Managerial Ambitions Revealed

Dirk Kuijt, a beloved club legend, has openly shared his dream of one day managing Feyenoord. Speaking on the podcast 'De Plucheplakkers,' Kuijt expressed that while managing Feyenoord or the Dutch national team represents the pinnacle of a coaching career, his immediate focus is on his current role. He recalled a past instance where he believed he was on the verge of becoming Feyenoord's manager, but the club opted for Arne Slot instead. Kuijt acknowledges this decision and is content with his developmental path, emphasizing that coaching requires significant experience.

Currently, Kuijt is managing FC Dordrecht, a position he feels is ideal for his continued growth. He previously managed ADO Den Haag and Beerschot. Although his contract with Dordrecht is expiring, and the club is keen to extend it, Kuijt has yet to make a decision about his future. With FC Dordrecht, he is currently leading the team to a tenth-place standing in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, with hopes of qualifying for the play-offs this season.
