17 Oct
Summary
- Detroit Lions teased a black and blue uniform combo on social media.
- This suggests the 'Motor City Muscle' black uniforms will be worn.
- The uniforms may debut in the Week 7 home game against Green Bay.
The Detroit Lions recently provided a strong indication on social media that their alternate black uniforms will be making a comeback. A Friday night post on Twitter, featuring a black Lions logo outlined in bright blue, along with a change to their profile picture, points towards the unveiling of these jerseys. The team previously introduced the 'Motor City Muscle' black uniforms in 2024, which consist of a black jersey, black pants, and a striking blue helmet.
Anticipation is high that these black uniforms will be worn for the Week 7 home game against the Green Bay Packers. This potential reveal follows the Lions' Week 6 bye. The following week, in Week 8, the Lions are scheduled to host the Minnesota Vikings. For this divisional matchup, the team has already announced they will be wearing their newly designed Rivalry Uniforms. These feature an all-grey aesthetic with black and blue stripes, inspired by a lion's eyes.
