Bills' Deone Walker: Breakout Star in 2026?

Buffalo Bills' defensive tackle Deone Walker, a 6-foot-7, 331-pound rookie, has established himself as a full-time starter, exceeding expectations. Selected in the 2025 fourth round, Walker is now predicted to be Buffalo's top breakout star for the 2026 season. He significantly impacted the defense, leading all linemen with 37 run stops and recording 16 pressures. Walker's journey mirrors his college career, where he also became a starter early on.

Concerns about Walker's speed, evidenced by his 5.36-second 40-yard dash at the Combine, contributed to his draft stock falling. However, he has already delivered a strong return on his four-year, $5.24 million contract, earning a spot on the NFL's All-Rookie Team. The development of veteran Ed Oliver, who is returning from injury in 2026, is expected to further bolster the Bills' defensive line and Walker's growth.
