Liverpool Could Re-Sign Darwin Núñez for Free!

Liverpool might have an opportunity to bring Darwin Núñez back to Anfield on a free transfer, just a year after selling him to Al Hilal for approximately €50 million. The Reds reportedly struggled last season without Núñez's tireless work rate leading the line.

Núñez's contract with the Saudi club was terminated mid-season due to registration rules after Al Hilal signed Karim Benzema. This allows the 26-year-old Uruguayan international to negotiate his return to Europe with any club of his choosing.

While a return to Liverpool is said to be Núñez's preference, other European clubs are also reportedly interested. Barcelona is considering him as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, and Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have also been linked with the striker.
