Darius Garland, a standout player for the Cleveland Cavaliers since his 2019 draft, faces trade speculation following a difficult past season and a limited start to the 2025-26 NBA campaign. His injury issues have raised questions about his future with the team, opening the door for potential trades.
Several franchises are reportedly monitoring Garland's situation. The Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings are in dire need of a reliable point guard, while the Golden State Warriors see Garland as a future successor to Stephen Curry. The Minnesota Timberwolves could also benefit from his playmaking to support Anthony Edwards.
The Brooklyn Nets, facing depth issues at point guard and lacking a primary scorer, present another compelling trade scenario. Acquiring Garland could provide them with a go-to player and potentially yield valuable draft capital for the Cavaliers.
