Mensah Heisman Favorite After Dominant Start

Darian Mensah, quarterback for the Miami Hurricanes, is making a strong case for the Heisman Trophy. Following an impressive Week 2 victory over FAMU, where he led Miami to a 77-7 win, Mensah's odds on Kalshi's Heisman market have surged to 17%.

In the first half against FAMU, Mensah delivered a stellar performance, completing 14 out of 15 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns, contributing to Miami's commanding 49-0 lead before being substituted. This performance further cemented his status as a leading candidate.

Through two games this season, Mensah has demonstrated remarkable efficiency, completing 41 of 45 passes (91.1%) for 653 yards and eight touchdowns. He is averaging an impressive 14.5 yards per completion. If his current pace continues, he is projected to finish the 12-game regular season with 3,918 yards and 48 touchdowns, significantly surpassing his previous career highs.

Should the Miami Hurricanes advance deep into the College Football Playoff, Mensah's projected statistics could reach nearly 5,000 yards and 60 touchdowns.
