Dana White has unveiled Zuffa Boxing, a new venture aimed at overhauling the sport of boxing. Frustrated by promoters and sanctioning bodies, White seeks to create a system where elite fighters consistently challenge one another, making victories more significant. Zuffa Boxing will focus on nurturing young talent and aims to make undefeated records a rare, hard-earned achievement.

The promotion intends to host events nearly every month, with broadcasts scheduled on Paramount+. White has confirmed his readiness to sign prominent boxers as their existing contracts expire, indicating a significant long-term commitment to transforming the boxing landscape. The strategy involves cutting out traditional sanctioning bodies like the WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBF, which he claims impede major matchups.

The inaugural Zuffa Boxing event is scheduled for January 23, 2027, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. This card will be headlined by Irish boxer Callum Walsh, who will face Carlos Ocampo. This debut event is poised to make a strong statement, challenging established norms and injecting a new level of competition into professional boxing.
