Rangers Secure Championship-Winning Midfielder

Rangers have bolstered their midfield ranks by signing Dan Neil to a three-year contract, following the expiration of his Sunderland deal. The 24-year-old midfielder arrives at Ibrox after a highly successful period.

During the latter half of last season, Neil was instrumental in Ipswich Town's successful promotion to the Premier League while on loan. This achievement adds to his considerable experience.

Neil, an alumnus of Sunderland's Academy of Light, amassed over 200 senior appearances for his childhood club. He notably captained Sunderland through the 2024/25 Championship play-offs, securing promotion with a victory at Wembley.

While previously linked with Southampton, Rangers secured Neil's signature. He joins other new signings like Lawrence Shankland and Ross McCrorie, enhancing Rangers' squad depth.
