Dak Prescott's Faith Fight Finish: A Legacy of Love

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott channels his personal tragedies into philanthropic action through the Faith Fight Finish Foundation. The organization was established in memory of his mother, Peggy, who died from colon cancer in 2013, and his brother, Jace, who died by suicide in 2020.

The foundation's mission is multifaceted, focusing on critical areas such as colon cancer research, mental health and suicide prevention, fostering positive law enforcement-community relations, and providing direct assistance to families experiencing severe hardships. This practical support can include covering essential living expenses during medical emergencies.

Notable financial contributions connected to Prescott's charity include a $50,000 grant in 2019 for colorectal cancer research, a $1 million pledge in 2020 for police training and education, and nearly $65,000 provided during the COVID-19 pandemic to support affected organizations and first responders.

Recent contributions in 2024 and 2025 have further bolstered cancer-related causes in his home community. In July 2026, the foundation's fifth annual gala successfully raised $1.5 million to advance its core initiatives, including research and support programs.

Prescott's dedication to community work earned him the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for the 2022 season, which included a $250,000 donation to his foundation. His efforts provide purpose to his losses, directing resources towards those in need and promoting mental health awareness.
