Summary
- Match is the second leg of the fifth round of the Copa do Brasil.
- A draw will lead to a penalty shootout to decide the winner.

The Copa do Brasil fifth round concludes this Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, with a pivotal second-leg match between Cruzeiro and Goiás at the Mineirão stadium. Kick-off is set for 9:30 p.m. Brasília time.
Having played to a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Serra Dourada, both teams are vying for a spot in the tournament's round of 16. The stakes are high, as any draw in this upcoming match will force a penalty shootout to decide which club progresses.
Goiás, known as Esmeraldino, has navigated through previous rounds by overcoming Gama, Fluminense-PI, and Maringá. This is Cruzeiro's, or Cabuloso's, entry point into the competition.
Cruzeiro's head coach, Artur Jorge, has announced a revised lineup for this crucial encounter. Compared to their recent 2-1 victory over Bahia in the Brasileirão, four players – Kaiki, Kenji, Arroyo, and Kaio Jorge – are set to start, replacing Fagner, Matheus Henrique, Sinisterra, and Villarreal.
