Cricket Stars Fined for On-Field Misconduct

During the recent ACC Men's Premier Cup final in Kuala Lumpur, three players faced disciplinary actions for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct. UAE's Adeeb Usmani and Khuzaima Tanveer, along with Nepal's Rohit Paudel, were fined by match officials.
Adeeb Usmani and Rohit Paudel received identical fines of 15 percent of their match fee. This was due to their involvement in an argument and failure to comply with umpire instructions during the 31st over of Nepal's innings. This action constituted a breach of Article 2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
Khuzaima Tanveer was fined 10 percent of his match fee for a separate incident in the 46th over. He hit the stumps with his bat after being dismissed, violating Article 2.2 concerning the abuse of cricket equipment. This occurred during the UAE's innings.
Each player has also been assigned one demerit point. These penalties were accepted by the players, avoiding formal hearings. The fines and demerit points are part of the standard regulations for Level 1 breaches, which can lead to suspensions if players accumulate four or more demerit points within a 24-month period.
