Delhi Court Puts Legends League Deal to Mediation
14 Mar
Summary
- Delhi High Court orders mediation for media rights dispute.
- League organizer must disclose ongoing commercial dealings.
- Parties to appear before mediation center on March 13.

A dispute concerning the media and commercial rights for the Legends League Cricket Masters T20 tournament is now proceeding to mediation.
The Delhi High Court, on March 14, 2026, referred the matter to the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre.
This decision came after Jiostar India filed a petition seeking interim protection, aiming to prevent Absolute Legends Sports and another party from creating third-party rights or transferring the league's media and commercial rights. Justice Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar presided over the proceedings under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Absolute Legends Sports has agreed to provide an affidavit detailing all ongoing commercial transactions and agreements with other parties, including financial receivables. Any funds received from these arrangements will be deposited with the court against admitted liabilities, while the company will retain funds for operational expenses.
Both sides have consented to attempt an amicable resolution. The parties are scheduled to appear before the mediation center on March 13, with the next court hearing set for March 17.
