The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly in discussions for Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks, a move that could significantly address defensive shortcomings ahead of the 2026 season. Brooks is entering the final year of his contract, and speculation suggests Dallas might offer offensive tackle Tyler Guyton, a 2024 first-round pick, along with a 2027 seventh-round selection for the linebacker.

The Cowboys' defense struggled considerably in the 2025 season, allowing 30.1 points per game. The addition of Brooks would immediately fortify their linebacker corps, potentially pairing him with DeMarvion Overshown and providing much-needed experience and production.
