Corinthians' Lightning Goals Stun Grêmio 3-1

Corinthians achieved a significant 3-1 victory over Grêmio at the Arena in Porto Alegre this Saturday, marking their second consecutive win in the 2026 Brasileirão. The match saw Grêmio take an early lead through Gabriel Mec in the first half. However, Corinthians equalized in stoppage time with a strike from André.

The second half witnessed a rapid turnaround for Corinthians, with two quick goals sealing their victory. André put Corinthians ahead after a well-placed one-on-one opportunity, followed just two minutes later by a goal from Kaio César. Grêmio's challenges were further compounded by a red card shown to their debutant goalkeeper.

This result moves Corinthians up to ninth place in the league standings with 24 points. Grêmio, with 21 points, now sits in 15th place and faces the possibility of falling into the relegation zone. Following a World Cup break, both teams will resume action on July 22.
