The first round of the Copa del Rey draw has been completed, setting up intriguing clashes throughout Spain.
Teams not participating in the Spanish Super Cup, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, and Real Sociedad, will not feature in these initial ties. Instead, several lower-tier clubs have been drawn against formidable top-flight opposition.
Notably, UDS Salamanca, Auriense, and Ribadesella are scheduled to play against Celta, Deportivo, and Racing, respectively. Other pairings include El Prat or San Rafael against Athletic, and Atlético Calatayud facing Osasuna.
Further matches pit smaller clubs against La Liga regulars, with teams such as UD Pinatar, Tavernes de la Valldigna, and Lebrijana set to compete against major teams like Getafe and Betis. The draw guarantees early-season drama in Spain's premier domestic cup competition.
