Conrad Football Already 1-0 Without Playing a Game

Conrad's football team has secured a 1-0 record for the 2026 season before any games have been played. The team received a forfeit win as Gateway Charter canceled their scheduled opener. This cancellation occurred because Gateway Charter did not have enough eligible players to field a team. The game was initially set for Friday but was rescheduled to Thursday to be a home game for Conrad.

Coach Josh Ragsdale stated he is actively seeking a replacement game but doubts he will find one on short notice. Gateway Charter, a Class 3A school, has an enrollment of 186 students. Conrad's early 1-0 status already matches their win total from the entire previous 1-9 season, marking a surprising start.
